THIS weeks ‘Tech Talk with John’ will look at the world of MP3 and Wikkis. Find out more about what a MP3 audio book is and how to use them and more importantly how to enjoy them.

Wikis could be for you.

Unlike blogs, where you can only add comments to someone else’s posts, wikis enable many users to actually add or change the content on the website. You can both create your own and invite others to contribute, or you could become a contributor to someone else’s wiki. "

Come along on Thursday night from 6-7pm and find out all about the world of MP3’s and what a Wikki is.

Do you want to improve your computer skills?

The library is currently evaluating a new web based computer tutorial sysyem that will allow you to brush up on topics of interest like Word 2007. We like what we see so stay tuned for more details which will be available shortly.

What's a bush dunny, a Clothes Line and Ned Kelly have to do with the Burdekin Library ?

All this and more are currently on display at the Burdekin Library from the Kalamia State School. Its creativity at its best. Why dont you call in and see what talented kids we have in our community.

One of our library trainee's Jasmin Delle Baite was crowned the "2010 Sunwater Burdekin Water Festival Senior Ambassador" at a gala function last night at Home Hill. Jasmin is one of the friendly faces library users see at the front desk every day. The Library congratulates Jasmin on being crowned Senior Ambassador.

A lot has been written and said about Apple's Ipad. Why not come along tonight from 6-7pm and find out a bit about it. As part of the regular "Tech talks with John" series we will be looking at the Ipad and what you may be able to do with it. You will have a chance to look and play with one duringthe evening.
